Navin Ramaswaran
Graduating from the University of Windsor in 2003 with a BA(H) Communication Studies and Visual Arts, Navin Ramaswaran is currently a Director & Editor represented by studio m, Toronto, ON.
Besides being the creative lead on various TV/Web commercials, promo videos
and music videos, he is also an award winning filmmaker. In 2006 Navin wrote, produced, directed and edited NARA, his first feature film under his own banner, Splice Films. The film is being distributed worldwide by Echelon Studios.
Many of his newer works have been accepted into multiple film festivals and are distributed worldwide. His current commercial projects include the award winning Coca Cola Freestyle campaign, and the 2015 Lincoln MKC spot. He also edited the viral hit WestJet Christmas Surprise 2014. Navin is currently in post-production for his next feature film CHASING VALENTINE, which he is directing and editing. (CHASING VALENTINE has since had its European Premiere at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in Milan where it was nominated for seven awards and its World Premiere at the Orlando Film Festival in October 2015.) He also recently completed LATE NIGHT DOUBLE FEATURE, a horror anthology and the award-winning short ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD produced by Fangoria writer Kelly Michael Stewart. Navin also directed Season 2 of the web series PETE WINNING AND THE PIRATES (which is currently nominated for 4 Independent Screen Awards, including Best Directing) and THE MISFORTUNE OF MADELINE MOODY, a horror short that premiered in 28 Cineplex Odeon cinemas across Canada in Feb 2014 as part of distributor Raven Banner’s Sinister Cinema Series.
